Growing Up with Grandchildren

Growing Up with Grandchildren represents one grandfather's attempt to portray the "art of grandparenting," with its responsibilities and privileges, blessings and joys, guiding principles and sense of loving attachment between grandparents and grandchildren. It presents the variety of possibilities for grandparents to actively engage grandchildren, birth through age five, in ways that will promote physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth.
This book is written to stimulate thoughtful reflection about what it means to be a grandparent in spirit, as well as in name. It is my hope that its reading will encourage parents, grandparents and teachers to engage in open channels of communication in the sharing of ideas and experiences.
