Exposing the Great Deception

Pretend you are the universe's most notorious mass murder and schemer and are superiorly intelligent compared to humans, and you have been given only a short amount of time to concoct a scheme that would deceive as many people as possible; what type of deception would you come-up with? This is Satan's predicament. Fortunately, you don't have to look far to discover what he has concocted for us in the last days; he revealed his plan to his emissaries, who, in turn, wrote it down. And it's because of this we can be one step ahead of the enemy; or as the apostle Paul stated, "...so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes" (2 Corinthians 2:11).

The apostle Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 2:11, wrote nearly two-thousand years ago about a coming "strong delusion" that will cause those not in-tune with God's word to believe "a lie"-and this isn't just any lie, but it is the lie man has been primed to believe since the time of Adam and Eve. What is this delusion? What is the lie Satan will promote in the final moments before Christ's return, which man will inevitably fall for? How is man being conditioned today to be swept away by this deception when it arrives? And what can we do now to prepare for it?
