The horses thigh quivered when Steve reached out and grabbed the arrow in mid flight 6 inches from Sherries chest. He held it high in the air and with one swift movement broke it in half with his fingers.Gold does strange things to people, but this arrow was not motivated by greed but by preserving a way of life. The warrior was not seen by anyone even Cho's men, and rode up the valley out of sight. The arrow was inspected by all and confirmed that it came from Sherries family. Now there were even more questions to this journey that kept everyone's attention.

The story takes place in modern times yet it unwraps mysteries from long ago in Japan and the southern parts of China along the silk road. It is not only the physical journey but that of peoples hearts that inspire the telling of the tale. As the people from Japan worked their way up through Yingkou and Panjin they brought gold with them and stored it in temples under special locks that a modern day locksmith would be amazed in it's simplicity. And there it sat undiscovered until Sherry decided to trace her family heritage as far back as the 1600's. As her journey proceeded with great care not only for their safety but also to not trample over peoples hearts she encountered many new friends in varied cultures.

She also learned that Steve was on a great quest of his own in learning how God was so graciously working in his life. This created a wonderful feeling in her own heart that eventually led her to saying yes to him. When you see a child walk for the very first time you are amazed that no one actually taught them how to walk but they do it very naturally. That is the same with peoples hearts. God is great.
