Honor Bright: A Century of Scouting in Northern Star Council

Here, collected for the first time, are the stories and images of the Boy Scouts of America's first century in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Its 248 full-color pages in a 9" x 12" format is a book to read and share with anyone whose life has been touched by Scouting — a terrific holiday gift and a great way to own a piece of local Scouting history.

There are chapters by decade and theme, including achievement, camp, service, Scouters, and jamborees. It includes the names of all Silver Beaver Recipients, as well as a map of the shifts in Council territory and camps. Honor Bright is a fascinating and richly illustrated chronicle of 100 years of Scouting in our local community and serves as a centerpiece of our Centennial celebration. Award winning author Dave Kenny was supported by a volunteer Council History Book Committee of 18 members for two years in producing this publication.

The book was given a Minnesota Book Award in the Readers' Choice category on April 17 in St. Paul.
