On Thanksgiving morning Esther Jefferies is visited by her recently deceased husband. His presence helps her endure yet another tumultuous family holiday. The day is riddled with dysfunction and cynicism. Who would have known that the divvying up of dinner dishes could create such animosity between family members?

The Day Crazy Came to Dinner tells the story of how each member of the Jefferies family-- an internet porn abuser, a pre-surgery transvestite, a manic depressive alcoholic, a recent divorcee who is experimenting with lesbianism, et al-- handles life's realities and how when they come together tongues aren't held and punches are landed squarely on the jaw.
