Bernard Finch, MD, and his 18-year-old paramour, Carole Tregoff, murdered the doctor's wife in West Covina, California, and could have gotten away with it had it not been for the testimony of the family's au pare, Marie-Anne Lidholm, who stood up to the country's best defense lawyers, including Grant Cooper and Robert Adam Neeb.

It took two hung juries and three trials to bring the pair to justice.
