When Dori Dougan, after suffering a tragedy, was persuaded by a good friend to take a job in the West Indies she knew at the very least that it would be an adventure for her and for her young son. She was expecting to be exposed to a new culture and to be working hard on a new and exciting project. But what she wasn't expecting was that she would inadvertently be involved in high stakes illegal gambling, or most certainly that she would fall hopelessly in love with a strange and powerful man who could, on a whim, destroy her and the people she cares for most.
