The damned among us who, for reasons known only the Elder Ones, have been called upon to write about zombies in a pop culture landscape where self-referential Abbott and Costello-like movies like Zombieland already exist, and Plants versus Zombies, and Zombie Johnny Cash T-shirts, for crying out loud, have an obligation to the universe to take a stab at something new and different.
