Chawton Cottage Collection: A Book of Armchair Travels with Jane Austen's Characters Through Prose and Patterns... knitting Inspired by Literature

The Chawton Cottage Collection is a collection of knitting patterns inspired by the travels & adventures of Jane Austen's characters...particularly those in supporting roles. It seems that very few people consider the secondary characters in stories when thinking of a specific novel.

I began to map out the travels of each of these characters...some crossing great distances, some just a mile or so to the nearest village.

Chawton Cottage Collection contains TEN original patterns inspired by the characters & travels of these characters within Jane Austen's novels. Each pattern includes color photos, full charted directions, written instructions, schematics, materials lists, and a short essay outlining the inspiration for each project. This pattern collection contains a few projects suited to advanced beginning knitters, a few for intermediate knitters, and one or two for advanced knitters as well.
