Drake's Passage

Drake, an Iraq War vet suffering from PTSD, must use the skills he learned as a riverine boat captain after a coworker plunders a cartel's narco-torpedoes and diverts suspicion onto Drake. The ensuing battlefield-like situations trigger a flood of incapacitating, repressed war memories, which could be his undoing.

Flashbacks of his tours in Iraq are fictionalized accounts of actual riverine missions: mine clearing in the port of Umm Qasr, a missile attack on Saddam's yacht AL-MANSUR, the Small Craft Company's actions on the Euphrates River during the second Battle of Fallujah, the Dam Support Unit protecting Haditha Dam, and more.
