In the words of Cynthia: "When my brother, Fordan T. Bonardi, and myself read the letters that our Great Great Uncle Fr. Denis O'Hara had sent to his niece, our grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Hackett Thomas, we knew we had to find out more about this generous, loving man. Our grandmother had taken in the three daughters of her sister who had passed away at 26 years of age. Fr. Denis helped our grandmother with the care and education of his grandnieces. We visited Kiltimagh in 2006 and in 2010, where we were welcomed by Fr. Paddy Kilcoyne, Claire and Michael Charlton, Betty Solan, and the people of Kiltimagh as though we were his children. Fr. Denis, as the people call him, is an integral part of the fabric of Kiltimagh today as he was over 90 years ago."
