Healthy Transitions for Girls honors the latest brain science as well as new understanding of the mind-body connection, offering a creative, "whole body" experience. Real learning needs to involve the logical left side of the brain as well as the intuitive, emotional right side of the brain. Girls need to have emotional connections to the concepts being taught for them to internalize new attitudes and behaviors. For that reason, art, role play, tangible objects, and movement activities, are used to teach the abstract concepts in this curriculum.
