Vol. 0, Issue 0, "Theory, Action, and Impact of Social Protest," comprises the proceedings of the first "Theory, Action and Impact of Social Protest" conference, an interdisciplinary event which took place over two days in October 2012 at the University of Kent in Canterbury, UK. The event included over 100 speakers from almost as many universities from all over the world, and speakers presented papers from a wide variety of academic fields including politics, sociology, psychology, philosophy, literature, law, criminology, geography, anthropology, and media studies.
