The Last Summer

Taking place over several months in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Last Summer begins with Daniel and his sister Samantha, following their mother to her lovers house. Armed with his camera, Daniel decides to film her activity, to use later to blackmail his abusive mother. During that summer, Daniel comes out to his sister and finds comfort with Lucas and Samantha finds her first love in Landon, Luca's brother. Together, the four of them embark on an eventful summer, making memories and taking risk. When an unimaginable tragedy happens, Samantha is left to fend for herself in her home where she no longer has her only ally, Daniel. Samantha, along with Landon and his family, gets through the loss of her brother only to be blindsided by the truth of what really happened to him and what kind of monster she has really been living with.
The Last Summer is a character driven tale of first love and loss that lets you follow Samantha through an amazing journey, where she ultimately shines as the heroine.
