When Candice Smythe receives her layoff notice, she embraces the need for a little retail therapy. Candice enters an antique store just to look around, but before she knows it, leaves with an ornate hat, which would change her life.

As she exits the store, a knowing gust of wind carries her hat to the porch of an inspiring Victorian house, with Candice in tow. Candice's newly open schedule, the historic house, and the emergence of a woman known as Grandma Pela are a recipe for a fruitful new beginning if only Candice is willing to follow fate.
