Zak was depressed after his mother died of cancer and his best friend moved away. He expected his friendless summer vacation to be endless. It wasn't until Zak was needed to help solve a neighborhood mystery that he began to regain his interest in life. It was a race for time. Would Zak and his dog be able to save the missing neighborhood cats? In his efforts to discover what happened to them, Zak finds friendships in unlikely places.
