Our Portland Story Volume 2

Volume 2 of "Portland's yearbook" is all about Portland by Portlanders. Stories included in the book reveal: a WWII spy's local connection, our city's burger obsession, the early years of a folk legend, a secret baked bean recipe,and the everyday moments that make us smile and say "only in Portland." Our Portland Story Volume 2 was written and designed with love by 77 authors and 77 designers. This book is by no means a comprehensive look at the City of Portland. Rather, it represents the insights of a variety of authors, each with a story to share.

Our Portland Story is an ongoing community story project founded in 2008. We collect stories about Portland from Portlanders from all walks of life, and pair those stories with local designers to create artful snapshots of the city through our published books, events and online content. Our mission is to cultivate a greater sense of identity and pride in Portland and to capture the spirit of the city and its people.
