Jen Schuman, the kind-hearted artist, and resident wedding photographer for the Ivy Manor reception hall, finds maintaining a serious relationship nearly impossible, considering she spends most of her weekends capturing the romance between other couples, instead of enjoying one of her own.
When Nate Smith, the thoughtful guy-next-door, joins the Ivy Manor family as the new DJ, he and Jen become fast friends based on their shared experiences in the wedding industry and common mindset on relationships. Through observations of the people she photographs, plenty of conversations with her brilliant, but boy-crazy roommate, Claire, disappointing blind dates, and pushy co-workers, Jen learns a lot about what she wants in a relationship, and even more about what she doesn't. When a too good to be true romantic wedding throws Jen into Nate's arms, she starts to wonder if perhaps she already has all she's been looking for, and has been unknowingly dating him all along.
