lessons in love - an illustrated reflection

"lessons in love" was born out of a conversation when photographer Joel H. Mark asked author Karin Pinter to curate an exhibition of his photography. As she explored Mark's photographic treasure trove, Pinter realised she was creating a story around her personal meditations on love, partnership and the seasons we experience in life.

This exploration is a call for simplicity, introspection, and a re-kindling of love. The images invite the viewer to refine his or her personal journey of self-perception, with attention to detail and the big picture. Sometimes our vision is blurred, and sometimes crystal clear - what matters is that we see ourselves as worthy of love.

The lessons we encounter along the way are simply reminders to invite love in.
