A2 Workbook

A2 is a communal journey through the defining beliefs of Anthem Friends. It is a great time to get to know us and ask some questions. This guide is designed to support the journey. It is organized around the metaphor of a plant, and divided into four sections: SOIL - ROOTS - GROWTH - SEED.

In SOIL we'll introduce you to God and His Word. We'll also talk about creation and what we see as the main problem humanity faces.

In ROOTS we'll take you through God's solution to the problem and how you can be saved. Of course accepting God's offer of salvation does not instantly make everything all right in one's life - there is still a struggle, and we'll talk about that too.

In GROWTH you will learn about the blessings that come from being part of a community of people who believe and value the same things. We'll also talk about growing in your relationship with God and serving other people.

Finally, in SEED we'll discuss what we believe is God's primary mission on earth at this time and what your part in it might be.
