Seeking God in Violent Times: Religion in America and the Search for Sacred Space

The seekers of God. There are those among us who want to know God and understand the rhythm and beauty of God's created world yet feel empty and abandoned by religion and the church in America. We are seekers. We seekers of God want more than just an invitation to learn how to imitate right moral behavior. We are not interested in wearing a mask, playing a part. We want to experience God. We seekers of God want more than just another social club to join. We want to have a relationship with God. We want to know and understand this love which generates the moon and the tide, the stars and their planets as well as the DNA which determines the color of one's hair and eyes and the length of one's arms and legs. In short, we want to know and understand this elusive yet omni-present God from within ourselves, from our inner being.
