Jesus did not come to save us. He came to show us how to save ourselves by making compassion the guiding principal of our lives.

His compassion has a laser like focus on the most urgent cases - those who are most vulnerable and helpless. These include our own children as well as the tortured masses.

The decline of both Christianity and its host societies in the West are closely linked. Christianity has failed to provide the moral leadership needed to sustain the basic values of civil society. Its negative dogmas and fossilized hierarchies prevent it from fulfilling the radical, humanist mission that Jesus envisaged.

In this highly challenging book, Christian Humanism is presented as nothing less than an alternative Christian theology. St Paul and Luther were wrong. The goal set for us by Jesus is to reclaim this world for God. Raising our compassionate awareness becomes the sole purpose for human existence and our ultimate survival and salvation will hinge on it.
