How do you parent a teenager who only wants to die?

With a love of life and a desire to succeed, Lisa was a happy, healthy teenager with a passion for dancing and an enthusiasm to do her best. At the age of fifteen, her life took an unexpected turn into a tunnel of darkness and confusion. During her first season of depression and anxiety, Lisa rapidly lost her motivation to live. After eighteen months of experiencing severe mental health issues, feeling alone, depressed and worthless, Lisa attempted to end her life.

After multiple visits to the emergency department and health professionals, Lisa’s parents were desperate. How do you parent a teenager who only wants to die? They asked God for a miracle. Two months later, Lisa had an authentic and life-changing experience with God. She asked Jesus Christ into her life and has never been the same. That relationship with Jesus Christ has inspired Lisa to save other young people from suicide and to assist them on their road to recovery.
