The year 1971 was an historic one for the United States of America. Though not widely touted for its importance, the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) was ratified on December 18, 1971.

The year 1971 was equally historic for the Alaska Native people. In return for nearly one billion dollars, they relinquished long-standing claims to their land. And what exactly is ANCSA? It is a land deal that allowed the construction of the Alaska Pipeline and access to billions upon billions of barrels of oil on Alaska's North Slope.

Quiet for more than thirty years, the history that is the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act collides with the lives of FBI Agent Mark Jameson and Intelligence Operative Lindsay Drummond.

Mark, Lindsay, and a team of FBI agents follow leads throughout Alaska in search of questions they have not yet asked. Along the way, truth about family and truth about love are revealed.
