At the age of 27, I was conventionally successful. Lots of money and a high media profile from successful business start-ups in Japan. A lovely wife, and four children.

But I was working and traveling 25 days per month. Living the high life-at 27!

Yet I began wondering . . . is this all there is? What is True Success? What is True Happiness?

I began asking successful people I was meeting around the world, what they thought determined True Happiness . . .

I wrote their answers down. I analyzed them. I worked to find common denominators. Because nobody actually had a complete concept of True Happiness. Or maybe, more importantly, how to achieve True Happiness. Or how to even "talk" about it.

The concept of LQ was born. LQ = Life Quality.
