If Life Were That Simple

Piper Kingsley isn't your average teacher. Struggling to meet the diverse behavioral challenges of her students, Piper is known for her tell-it-like-it-is approach and her students respect her for it. She goes the extra mile for her students, but when she meets Emilio Salvadore, she bites off a little more than she can chew.

Piper learns that Emilio lives with his older brother, Laric, the leader of a local gang. She refuses to stand back and watch the destruction Laric's influence has on Emilio. She decides to do a little investigating and lands herself right in the middle of the danger zone.

Besides the constant struggle to stay alive, Piper has two love interests fighting to be at her side. Jonah Lucas, a fourth grade teacher at Middleton Heights, is everything Piper has always wanted-tall, dark, and handsome and loves children. Then there's Miles Maverick, an old childhood friend of her brother Paris, who has recently moved back to town.

Piper's life has turned into a whirlwind of disaster. Luckily, Piper has a good sense of humor and a loyal best friend to keep her sane. But, when Piper goes head to head with Laric Salvadore she realizes her sanity is not all she risks losing.
