First Creatures: A Journey Through Grief

Journey along with sixty-one year old Ruth Lily, school teacher, devoted grandmother, and avid gardener of Annapolis, Maryland, who one year prior lost her beloved husband, Roger, unexpectedly and cannot shake grief's ugly aftermath. Suffering from dissociative amnesia and denial, her grief is deemed, complicated, and she seeks support in hopes of gaining back the life she once had. When Ruth is sent into her gardens, where so much of her married life took place and happy times were shared, on a 'grief work' mission, she discovers the impossible. It isn't long before Ruth finds out not only who she was, but what she left behind.
