The Lord told His disciples if they don't believe the words that I say then believe in the signs and wonder that I perform. In essence, when we preach the word, signs and wonders should follow. You see, what makes the Christian church different from the world is the demonstration of God's power. The church today does not demonstrate power at all. If you compare the church with the world you will find very little difference. When the world is sick, they run to the doctors and follow whatever he said, well doesn't the church do the same thing. What about when the world gets into financial difficulties they go to the bank to help or lend them money, well doesn't the church do the same. So we ask "what should the church do?" We should follow the Lord your God. So why is the Church sending the Holy Spirit to a far away place?

"I don't think I need to speak in tongues." What they don't understand is God desires us to have this gift. So instead of giving up we need to seek Him until you find Him. When you are praying for you must do our part. You must start saying something. The Holy Spirit doesn't speak for you... You must speak for yourself. Start saying words or sounds and your prayer language will come out. Some think that God is going to speak for them, no you must do the speaking. Some most likely feel embarrassed, so they don't speak out only to find some excuse to explain why they don't speak in tongues.
