ROAD TRIP, A Fold-Out Adventure, is artist Bill Perry's first book: a 35-foot, fifteen page, fold-out accordion book. ROAD TRIP is one single continuous picture of a road that goes through many of the places and past many of the things that a small child might love. It is sized to accommodate a little toy car. When Bill Perry's son was three years old, Bill created this book for his son to drive his toy cars and trucks through. ROAD TRIP is both a picture book and the map of a small child's rich imagination. It presents a wide range of starting points for invention, questioning, thought, and play. It is also just fun.
