The Jewels of the Five Cities: The Uprising

Alannah (Alley) Prewett and her four friends are the new Guardians, those people chosen by the gods to re-seal the barrier holding the Formorians in place. However, the time of the challenge has come too soon, Alley and her friends are but sixteen, and not prepared for the battle. None of them even believe in magic or their quest!

When Far Darrig, a minor demon escapes into the mortal world, and Alley's grandmother is kidnapped by Carman (the mother of all demons) it's clear the teens must leave at once. Their destination is the ancient lighthouse of their island; the place where the lock holding the Formorians is located.

They are then trapped in a race against time.

Can they locate all of their ancient artifacts, avoid Far Darrig, and get to the lighthouse before Carman and her demons escape from their prison?
