Down in the Dark

Charleston has a problem. Three grizzly murders in a week by the same perpetrator and no one to blame except Charleston's finest. A serial killer walks among the citizens in the town that birthed the Civil War and they hadn't seen the like in one hundred and fifty years. Detectives Joseph Chow and Ed Benning of the Homicide Division of Charleston, South Carolina, search for someone who looks like a man, but isn't, someone that walks like a human being, but couldn't be. A thing that is taunting them yet is hiding in plain sight. Something that leaves a horror in its wake that can only be described as inhuman. But where is it, what is it and how can they stop it? As the intrepid detectives scour the cobbled streets of Charleston, also known as the Holy City, they discover something that's anything, but holy. Where does evil hide?
