Owen Nobody

Owen Nobody is a novel written by a young man struggling to fulfill his family's legacy, the completion of The Zoltar Trilogy, a fairly cheesy though wildly successful, sci-fi series of novels. The young man simply can't do it and spends an entire novel not doing it, all the while discovering why his father couldn't do it either, a tragedy that lies just below the surface of his family history.

Child of Zoltar is the novel the young man was supposed to write but is instead written by his two muses, J.D. Salinger and a junior editor at Putnam Books, Julie Maibaum. Both J.D. and Julie, humbly do not want to take credit. The young man and his muses decide to attribute credit to the young man's father, Charlie Wyatt, who is dead which on Zoltar means he is alive and well...on Zoltar.
