Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, like candy looks sweet to the human eye; yet even though it may look, taste and feel good, it may not mean that it's wise to be entangled with it.
The paths that these characters take, lands them in some places and state of minds that they didn't sign up for. However, now that their hearts are involved, once their eyes are opened to what is really going on; the shattered pieces of life must be put back together.
The motivation it takes to hold life together can only happen if there's a hope for life left inside of them, after deciding I want what I want no matter who it hurts or displeases.
Wanting what we want can be costly when dealing with relationships. As each of these characters come to grips with what they want they come up against prices higher than they want to pay. Yet, they still say,
"God I Want What I Want."
