My Early Life in the Lost River Valley

The oldest son in a hard-working family of farmers and truckers, Roland Lindburg grew up in the fertile valleys and mining towns of Idaho's Lost River Valley. His compilation of stories brings alive the people and places of his youth from 1914 to 1939: the opening of Sun Valley, the CCC camps of the Great Depression, the mines and dredges of central Idaho, school in Darlington, hauling milk, herding pigs, and cutting ice on Mackay Dam.
