At seventeen and eighteen years old, high school students Chris, Nick, Elle, and Claire are set out to do what every typical teenager wants to do. But their little bubble of a town pops when reality sets in and makes them lose their ways. They must learn to let go of the things, and the people, they love. They must learn the hardships that come along with transitioning into adults. Bust first and foremost, they must learn how to get along, because when there is no one else to turn to, all they've got is each other.

Chris: Football, his mother, and Claire. There's nothing more he loves in the world. So how can he uphold his stellar grades while remaining the number one athlete at Riverdale High? How is he going to deal with the deteriorating state of his mother's health? How can he keep his best friend, Nick, away from Claire Evans, who is like a little sister to him?

Nick: His mother is in prison, and his father doesn't even deserve the title. When he's not breaking the law, he's sneaking around with Elle Stevens and trying to numb his pain. Is there hope for him? Can he break free from his father's suffocating chokehold, keep his brother in line, and fight for his mother's rights?

Elle: Drugs, sex, alcohol. There can't be anything more to life than that. Her mother's never home, her dad moved out, and Nick is available at the snap of a finger. Not to mention she's the Queen Bee of Riverdale High. But still, she wants more. She just can't figure out what.

Claire: She's always lead a quiet, simple life, until a tragedy turned it all around. With the help of her best friend Chris, she's successfully dealt with the pain and emptiness caused by her parents' death. But can she deal with the drama that comes along with befriending the rowdy Nicholas Bauer and promiscuous Elle Stevens?
