My Rainy Day Cat

"My Rainy Day Cat" is about a lucky cat dreaming on a rainy day. It was written as a gift to my mother. She helped with a big donation for a major operation that kept our old cat alive for many years. I have always enjoyed writing short stories. I like to write using the least amount of words possible but conveying an image the reader can really see and feel. Living at beautiful Cape Hatteras North Carolina is relaxing to the soul and the perfect place to keep a pencil nearby.

My wife and artist Kim Mosher did all the wonderful color pencil drawings that took nearly five years with The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse keeping her company out her studio window. As an artist, she was able to draw what she saw in the words down on paper. Count the leaves on the trees, there are thousands. Within the book a reader may find the ten cats hidden on the first page as a ladybug flies over the text pages. Hidden shapes are tucked into the Alaskan mountain. Look close and you my find hidden animals or designs. Pretend you are walking the sea glass beach with the leopard and dream along with "My Rainy Day Cat".
