Cassie Tahoe always dreamt of reporting on the news, but instead she became apart of it. While answering phones at a small town television station, a mysterious figure calls her and tells her he's about to commit a murder. After the lead anchor at the competing station turns up dead, Cassie realizes she's connected to the murderer's plot to kill. She turns to a handsome police officer for help, but a dark secret from his past threatens to keep them apart.
