For The Duration: The Changing Fortunes of War

Charlene Hillsdale, a recent college graduate whose fiancé died in Pearl Harbor, is too young, too angry and now all too obsessed with making her life uncomplicated. Adamant about making her own decisions, she moves half way across the country to take a teaching position for the duration of the war at Douglas High School in Douglas, Arizona. She vows to never get involved with a man heading to the battlefront again, but the complications start rolling in when an injured soldier enters her life, the end of the war is on the horizon, and her teaching career is suddenly on the line.

Will Charlene manage to survive for the duration at DHS amidst all the changing fortunes of war?
