The Irish apostate James Joyce succeeded in secularizing the term "epiphany" for literature. The book in your hands now, entitled Texaners, borrows unabashedly from Joyce's insight. Texaners is, naturally, inspired by Joyce's Dubliners. Impish errors aside, why else bother really?
