On a cold November morning, in the village of Gitsegukla, the fire house siren rang seven times. Angie woke up to the worst news in her life. She stared at her mother in disbelief. It can’t be true, this is not happening, everything is all so wrong. Her best friend in the whole world is still alive. This has to be a bad dream.

It’s not.

Witness Angie as she observes the traditions the Gitksan people practice when laying someone to rest. A story of sending a loved one from this world to the next.

Can Angie find closure after the long week is over? Can she heal through the immense loss?
