I'm Yours: Based on a True Story

I'm Yours is based on a true story of a freshman girl who loses herself to the bad-boy senior at her high school. Their relationship seemed magical at first, but shortly turned cold. He pulled her away from everything she loved and became increasingly more violent. She was afraid to leave him, not knowing where to turn and unsure of what the future would look like without him. She thought she could be the girl to fix him and turn him toward the light, but he pulled her into darkness instead. After one of his rage-filled episodes that left her to believe he may kill her, she picked herself up, burned all of their pictures together, and never talked to him again. She prayed to God, something she hadn't done in a while, and trusted that she would make it back to the right path eventually. She shares her story six years after she left him, showing readers how far she came and offering hope to those in the same situation.
