The Four: White Buffalo

Bobby Bridges is overweight, lonely, and ready to run away from everything he hates at his home on Parris Island Marine Recruiting Depot in South Carolina. He is the son of "Sergeant Scar," a newly assigned Drill Instructor disfigured physically and emotionally by an IED explosion in Iraq. Their family is a dysfunctional wreck and Bobby's middle school isn't much better. In fact, it is often much, much worse.

Bobby's fateful encounter with a mysterious old man gives him the opportunity he is desperately looking for. The chance to escape his life and to "be somebody." He has been chosen for a responsibility that a very few have taken on throughout the course of history. But, in the flash of a moment, he makes a decision that destroys his opportunity and releases the White Buffalo; the spirit of an animal whose singular purpose is to remake the Earth.

Now he must turn back to the family he is desperate to leave before the White Buffalo wreaks havoc on the planet.
