Dangerous Season

The summer of 1993 was supposed to be a quiet one, getting ready for a move from remote Northern California to the Midwest for graduate school, but a phone call changed that plan. He found himself instead in LA, helping a cousin house-sit a luxurious hilltop home and becoming captivated with the woman next door,
a bisexual Wiccan with an art gallery and a black BMW. And a former lesbian lover whose jealousy turned to fury that summer.

A choice he found safely intriguing in May had unravelled into near-chaos by midsummer as the apparent certainties of his world dissolved. His sense of psychic equilibrium falters as his encounters with various denizens of LA
lead him in unexpected directions and to disturbing self-discovery as he becomes the target of obsession and revenge, culminating in a violent denouement that leaves no one unscathed.
