Active Shooter Response Training: Citizens

This is the course guide for Train To Respond, LLC's, Active Shooter Response & Tactical Trauma Care live training course for civilians. It is not meant as a comprehensive manual, but as a basic guide for what to do if you find yourself caught in an active killer attack. While it is not meant to be comprehensive for we don't believe you can learn what you need to do in such an attack by simply reading a book, we have included links to some of the top training sites for active shooting response & tactical trauma care.At the very least if you are unable to attend live training, you will be able to gain basic knowledge and learn from the source, what to do in an active shooting, stabbing or terrorist attack. We have also included links to training videos on arterial bleeding (which is the number 1 killer of those shot or stabbed who would have survived if basic care had been initiated) as well as how to apply a CAT Tourniquet, RAT Tourniquet and SWAT T Tourniquet and how do very basic tactical trauma care. This guide is used during our live training (where we are able to go in depth into each topic area and then do hands on training utilizing moulage, tourniquets, combat gauze manikins and live victims) as well as for our students to have the ability to reference important training point again afterwards. It is highly suggested that you find a course and get hands on training in active shooter and tactical trauma care so that you will feel prepared in how to react and respond during an active killer attack. This book also include companies where you can attend live training courses. We do not believe that reading a book can replace hands on, live expert training in active killer response and tactical trauma care.
