Lola's Salvation

This novel shows the truth about the journey to salvation by unfolding the story of Lola and her gut wrenching path of bondage, which ultimately leads to freedom. Lola loses her parents at a young age and is forced to survive alone. Along the way, she experiences verbal, sexual, and physical abuse from her caregivers, as well as from toxic relationships with the worst kind of men in the world. As a way to survive her own reality, Lola turns to drugs and prostitution for refuge. Unfortunately for Lola, her repeated offenses of bad choices only causes a deep-rooted weight of depression, anger, bitterness, sadness, painful loss, and addiction.

From the outside looking in, one would assume that Lola was hopeless and that her life would inevitably continue on the downward spiral that she created for herself. Even with her doubt and anger towards God, along with her own self-hatred, Lola will soon come to realize that her fate would only be sealed through God's grace. At Lola's lowest point, God shows her that His grace is enough and her freedom was attainable right where she was.

This novel was written to shed light on the reality of salvation. For many, the invitation to Christ comes with a story before choosing to say yes to Jesus. That reality is often times filled with many of the worst types of events that cause people to doubt God. The unexpected vulgarity and roughness used throughout Lola's Salvation will leave you on the edge of your seat, ultimately showing that salvation is available to everyone, regardless of their circumstances, past hurt, current struggles, and beliefs.
