Extraneous

When Arnold Haus was a child his parents grew tired of him and gave him away. He grew up thinking that he had no inherent place in the world. His life became a fright filled search to remain alive long enough to find or create one. After losing his job and the security of his possessions he finds himself cast among people who also seem to be unnecessary, though each has an identity and a dream, however outlandish. A series of misadventures gradually blurs the purpose of his quest. Is he looking for a place or a belief or for love? He finds the answer in an old stone building constructed by gangsters, where he meets Someone who has always been with him but whom he has never taken the time to know.
