The First Life of Amelia Weston

Amelia Weston, a witch born with the Dragonfly Birthmark, her mark is quite large covering nearly the entire left side of her chest and overlaps her shoulder. Signifying the strength, and type of power she wields. She finds she is alone, after both her parents die a horrendous death, just months from her twenty second birthday. The year is 1601, in the city of Reading England.
Some years pass, she falls in love with a mortal man, marries, he dies of a sickness within a year. What good is having all of this power, when it's useless for saving people?
Fifty years alone, she meets a man named Alexander Stone. She feels an uncontrollable attraction to him, alas he is mortal should she try her luck with love once more; or will she be the one to pay the ultimate price?
