Captain Fly-By-Night

Most famous as the creator of Zorro, Johnston McCulley's "Captain Fly-By-Night", published in 1916, was made into a silent film. It tells the story of Captain Fly-By-Night, who is stirring up trouble in California between the white men and the red men. Rojerio Rocha is seeking his bride in San Diego (a pre-arranged marriage). Both are set against each other as they fight for control of California and for Anita Fernandez, the heir to a large land grant.
