Everything Isn't Always As It Seems: A Love Story

Quincee-Jane Catfire is steadfast on course of staying away from Danny TooGood after being humiliated by Danny in front of their friends and Danny's ex. Staying close to the Bronx, taking care of her teenage daughters, building her business and self-improvement are her only foci. All is going according to plan until one night she receives an invitation from her and Danny's past.

Danny reluctantly agrees to escort childhood, platonic friend, Lana to a weekend event. Danny's objective of getting Quincee-Jane back is crushed when Lana introduces herself and Danny as a couple to Quincee-Jane. Enduring the pain of watching Danny and Lana is short-lived when familiar, southern gent Stormy Wellington arrives on the scene; surprisingly confessing longtime, unabated love for Quincee-Jane.

Danny approaches Quincee-Jane to inform her that everything isn't always as it seems. Firing back a tirade, love-hurt gets the better of her as Stormy witnesses, intercedes and whisks Quincee-Jane away. Will romantic sparks fly between Quincee-Jane and Stormy?

When tragedy unexpectedly leads Quincee-Jane back into Danny's life, will she believe Danny's professed love for her, or will she seek Catfire revenge? Will Danny's love for Quincee-Jane be reciprocated or turn Manhattan's' quintessential bachelor into a henpecked fool?
