Goldivine

Kel and his mother live a simple and happy life until he stumbles on a magical plant that grants wishes. He must decide what to do with the Goldivine when the local townspeople come after it. Kel learns that greed is a hunger that cannot be filled. What is truly the most valuable necessity in life are our relationships with other people. "You and me, all of us, are all we need."

With less than 1900 words, this book was written for children in grades K-4 , but the lessons are a good reminder for all ages. This wonderful book is great for family snuggles or classroom read alouds.
